How can you start each day being led by the Holy Spirit (GOD)? We know from Mark 1:35 and Luke 4:42 that our Lord Jesus Christ made an effort to go have a quiet time before He would do any ministry. He spent time with God EVERY day before He went out.
Remember this is God who came as man who healed the sick, cast out demons, and brought the dead to life. More importantly, He taught constantly and He taught with authority (Matthew 7:29), He didn’t just teach. Religious people teach, but we don’t need religion, we need God and His power in our daily lives.
Some time ago, at a conference Pastor Jack Hayford shared his morning routine with the gathered crowd. If you want to live each day in power, here’s some good advice from a man of the faith of God.
Here are the steps Pastor Jack takes each morning to start well (P-R-A-I-S-E):
Present myself (Romans 12:1)
Raise my hands (1 Timothy 2:8)
Audibly thank the Lord (Psalm 63:1-3)
Invite the Holy Spirit’s presence (Ephesians 5:18)
Sing a new song (Ephesians 5:19)
Enter the day
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. That’s the promise of James 4:8. You can count on God. Change your daily routine to include God in your life.
